“Mum Detective” has been adapted in several countries, including, U.S., where it was adapted by the NBC network; Russia; Holland and Italy. The original series has also been sold in strategic territories such as Argentina, Bolivia, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Ecuador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Paraguay, Peru and the Dominican Republic, with negotiations underway in several other countries.

Laura Lebrel is a police inspector with a brilliant career but a myopic view of her own relationships. She is capable of unraveling the most complex of crimes, and yet is incapable of detecting love even when it's staring her in the eyes.

Occasionally, the pressures of combining motherhood with her work as a police officer seem to overwhelm Laura, but she always manages to juggle the two roles. And, although her love life is a disaster, Laura never fails in her professional work. The most striking thing about her MO seems to be how little significance Laura ascribes to physical and material evidence.  Forensic analysis and evidence leave her cold. She prefers to heed what she calls her sixth sense: her intuition. And, until now, it has never failed her.

In each episode, Laura tackles intriguing stories.. And it’s not just Laura’s professional life that is shrouded in mystery, because she’ll soon have to deal with her sister Verónica’s disappearance, in which a businessman Laura recently started dating appears to have been involved. With this outlook, how will Laura manage to rebuild her life and find love again?
