- Sandra Marchena plays Leonora, a new character that disrupts the couple’s marriage
- After a brief hiatus during the Olympic Games, the series resumes its usual broadcast schedule: Monday through Friday at 4:30 p.m. on La 1 and RTVE Play
Sandra Marchena joins “La Moderna” to play Trini’s mother, Leonora, a chatty, sociable, and spirited woman who will appear on the series starting Wednesday, August 14.
After making their marriage official, Trini and Miguel receive a visit from Leonora, who arrives to help with the housework. But when Leonora finds out she’s about to become a grandmother, she decides to actively meddle in Trini and Miguel’s relationship and organize their lives. Leonora’s relationship with Miguel is a bit strained. Although Leonora likes that her son-in-law is well-mannered, dependable, and good-looking, deep down, she thinks her daughter deserves better. Leonora enjoys pointing out Miguel’s every little flaw because she gets a kick out of seeing the young man try to contain himself to stop himself from talking back to her.
But, when Leonora meets Elías, she finds something new to place her hopes on beyond being a grandmother.
