Stories told in a dynamic manner from an innovative set

Every evening, each of the protagonists on Telecinco’s new show will fill out a page in “El Diario de Jorge,” telling their fun, heartwarming, remarkable, or touching stories, all of which have one thing in common: they will not leave anyone indifferent.

Many of these stories will be told in the present tense rather than in past tense; they may even continue to unfold in the future through a series of announcements, revelations, and declarations that will come as a total surprise to the stories’ protagonists or visits that will come as a surprise to both those in the studio and the audience.

The stories featured on “El Diario de Jorge” will be told from an innovative studio set composed of a main set and various additional spaces that will play a crucial role in the storytelling, enabling the production to tell various stories at once:

•    In the backstage area, people with some sort of relevant connection to the stories featured on the show will have a chance to listen, intervene, qualify, or challenge the protagonist’s version of the story.
•    The restricted area is a more private set where more intense or especially touching stories will unfold.
•    The bunker is an “armored” room where some of the protagonists will be get a surprise that may well change the course of their lives.
•    The private set is a space designed to encourage reflection, help resolve doubts, and shed light on the truth about the story at hand.
•    The lobby will host protagonists who have important details to provide about a story before appearing on the main set.

The show will incorporate state-of-the-art set design and visual effect technology to, among other things, reveal different facets of the same story or perhaps announce that the story told by one of the protagonists has yet to conclude, that it will continue and that it merits a follow-up.

The Panic Button

“El Diario de Jorge” will be shot live in real time, with guests playing a key role in telling their stories. In fact, they’ll even have the chance to press “The Panic Button” whenever they feel it’s necessary to interrupt a conversation and clarify, contrast, or challenge part of the protagonist’s account.

Fridays Are for Falling in Love

Each Friday, “El Diario de Jorge” will wrap up the week with a special edition dedicated to finding love. Jorge Javier Vázquez will play a 21st-century matchmaker and try to help his guests find a suitable partner. Gender, sexuality, personal preferences and circumstances, age, etc. will invariably be the key factors in this search.

And Jorge Javier won’t be the protagonists only trusted ally; their friends and families will also serve as advisors when the moment comes to choose from among a series of candidates who are ready and willing to fall in love.
