•    The actor will join “La Moderna” starting in episode 304, which will air Monday, December 30.

“La Moderna” welcomes a new character. La 1’s daily afternoon drama, which is produced by Boomerang TV, celebrates Christmas with Quico’s arrival. This new character will join the cast of the series, headed by Lola Marceli, Miguel Hermoso, Magdalena Tejado, Jesús Mosquera, Pepe Nufrio, Clara Alvarado, Miguel Angel Muñoz, and Diana Palazón, among many others. 

Actor Álvaro de Juana will play Cañete’s nephew, Quico, who arrives in the capital to spend a few days with his uncle. Quico ends up staying longer than planned when he asks his uncle to get him a job at the tea room. Although Cañete is a bit reluctant at first, he ultimately accepts Quico’s suggestion and, with Don Fermín’s approval, hires Quico as a waiter at La Moderna.

Despite his good looks and prior experience waiting tables, Quico is, in fact, extremely bashful around women. So much so that he has a really hard time just taking their orders. Although Cañeta and Teresa both help him overcome this issue, it seems this strange affliction goes way beyond mere shyness.
