“La Moderna” is about to welcome a new character. It’s Agustín Comas Ferrer, played by actor Alberto Amarilla. The entrepreneur and producer has passion for film and theater that enables him to turn art into money, and the audience will have a chance to see him for the first time this Friday, June 14.

After selling his little theater, Agustín arrives in Madrid, where his ambition and strength of character help him gain ownership of Cines Garriluz, the shopping arcade’s movie theater. Driven by his artistic and entrepreneurial spirit, the businessman decides to produce musicals.

Don Fermín’s niece, Inés, is becoming an increasingly well-known rising star, and, soon, excellent professional opportunities start coming her way. Just then, Agustín contacts her to offer her a part in his new operetta at the Garriluz movie theater.

Before meeting Inés, Agustín fell in love with Laurita at first sight. But his feelings take a radical turn when his heart starts leaning towards Inés, who is preparing to star in his upcoming show.

Helena Ezquerro, Almagro San Miguel, Stéphanie Magnin, Miguel Ángel Muñoz, Teresa Hurtado de Ory, Berta Galo, Llorenç González, Alba Gutiérrez, and Sara Rivero head the cast of “La Moderna,” and are joined this season by Begoña Maestre, Álex Adróver, Eva Pedraza, Manuel Bandera, and Carlota Baró.
